Over the Hill!

Even if you personally have crossed this milestone and are considered (Over the Hill), don't let your software join you. The PC in front of you is extremely powerful but it’s up to you to keep your software updated and productive.

Microsoft offers a lot more products than simply Windows and Office at their online store http://store.microsoft.com. If you are still using FrontPage for web design be sure to check out ExpressionWeb 3. Are your kids having trouble in Math and you’re not ready to flip the bill for Sylvan Learning centers you could try Microsoft Math 3.0. If you’re like me you have never learned the (ins and outs) of Photoshop products but you always wish you could make brilliant pictures like the professionals then perhaps AutoCollage 2008 is right for you.

Another great resource for software is http://www.download.com which is part of CNET. There are literally thousands of applications available for download. Some are for free but many are on a trial basis or free to try. You can purchase Word to PDF converters, project management software, time tracking, or about anything you can think of.

When looking for software also remember to utilize your vendors. Here at Iowa Solutions we service hundreds of clients from small to large and are a good reference on knowing what similar types of businesses are using for their software applications.

If you do find an application at CNET you like, chances are it will not be an exact match to your business. Which leads us to software programming. Iowa Solutions has programmers on site producing windows applications as well as web based software. Whether you need a new HR software package or just the ability to send out a monthly newsletter like this one...we can help!
