How did we get a virus?

These days many users are utilizing USB keys and/or Jump Drives to transfer data back and forth between home and the office. There are many new Trojan viruses’ which place a Trojan named Autorun.inf on your device without your knowledge. Once infected, you can automatically infect other computers as soon as the device is inserted. There are three ways to prevent this from happening at your office.Install an application onto each device (difficult to ensure that all users have done this),Setup a company wide Group-Policy through the File Server (not ideal for small businesses), or upgrade the company Antivirus software to an application that supports behavior monitoring. With this software you can easily disable any Autorun features from USB devices on every client running the Antivirus software with a single mouse click. Iowa Solutions recommends upgrading to Trend Micro. Trend offers behavior monitoring, is reasonably priced, and has a very small PC footprint (basically the amount of resources the antivirus software has in use).
